VANILLA ICE CREAM



Preparation of VANILLA ICE CREAM:


Ingredients:
 
  • Eggs - 3
  • Sugar - 2/3 cup
  • Milk - 1 3/4 cups
  • Cream - 1 3/4 cups
  • Vanilla extract - 1 1/2 teaspoons

Method:

  • In a saucepan stir together eggs, sugar and milk. 
  • Cook on low heat . Stir constantly for 8-10 minutes until mixture starts to thicken. 
  • Set off stove and allow to cool. 
  • In separate bowl, stir cream and vanilla together. Pour into cooled milk mixture.
  • Chill several hours. Then run through ice cream machine.
  • To make a Chocolate ice cream recipe stir in ¼ cup cocoa powder with the cream and vanilla.
  • Then add to the cooled milk mixture.
  • Continue following directions as above.
