Preparation of VANILLA ICE CREAM:
Ingredients:
- Eggs - 3
- Sugar - 2/3 cup
- Milk - 1 3/4 cups
- Cream - 1 3/4 cups
- Vanilla extract - 1 1/2 teaspoons
Method:
- In a saucepan stir together eggs, sugar and milk.
- Cook on low heat . Stir constantly for 8-10 minutes until mixture starts to thicken.
- Set off stove and allow to cool.
- In separate bowl, stir cream and vanilla together. Pour into cooled milk mixture.
- Chill several hours. Then run through ice cream machine.
- To make a Chocolate ice cream recipe stir in ¼ cup cocoa powder with the cream and vanilla.
- Then add to the cooled milk mixture.
- Continue following directions as above.
